CHAPTER 29 "BONDING"

Walter is worried because Lebensmal has extended Elizabeth's contract for another six months on the condition that the science is turned down and "sexy" is brought in. However, Elizabeth continues to reject Walter's suggestions, and women like Elizabeth's use of scientific terms on the show because it makes them feel "capable".

Elizabeth answers a viewer question at the end of the episode. Elizabeth is asked about her leg's edema using concepts from earlier episodes. The housewife reads medical journals in her spare time and once wanted to be an open-heart surgeon, according to Elizabeth's questioning. The audience applauds. Elizabeth encourages her to pursue her dream, saying it's never too late. She gives the woman Elizabeth's chicken pot pie to support her "fearless future."
