CHAPTER 33 "FAITH"
Walter receives threats from sponsors and viewers who want Elizabeth to suffer after he publicly declares atheism in 1960. Wakely struggles with his faith after a hard day as Elizabeth asks Walter to have faith. Frask, his new part-time typist, watches Supper at Six while typing in his office. Frank tells Wakely that she and Elizabeth worked at Hastings until they were fired.
After Elizabeth's atheist confession, Wakely asks Madeline why she didn't tell him her mother was on TV. Wakely updates Madeline on his follow-up with All Saints, where the secretary finally told him that they had no record of a Calvin Evans at their home after many failed attempts to reach the bishop. The secretary is deceiving Madeline.
