CHAPTER 36 "Life and Death"

Life magazine offers Elizabeth an interview, but she declines because she thinks they'll want personal details. Walter asks Harriet for help convincing Elizabeth to do the interview because he's fallen in love with her.

The following week, Life's Franklin Roth attends the show's live taping. Since Elizabeth is being forced to do the interview, he apologizes and leaves. Seymour stops him and Elizabeth takes Roth home. Roth sees Elizabeth's lab and Calvin's erg and hears about her abiogenesis research. Roth risks asking her about Calvin Evans because the interview is boring.

Elizabeth is shocked and upset, and Roth thinks he's lost her trust. However, she tells him their story.
